WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
Starresha is an Independent Stylist, and she offers Salon Appointments at Penny Lane Studios in Chicago's Logan Sqaure Neighborhood. (2658 N Sawyer Ave, Chicago, IL 60647).
CAN I BOOK A CONSULTATION?
Consultations are done during appointments. With natural hair there is absolutely nothing you can say about it without applying water on the hair. Color consultations can be booked complementary at firstname.lastname@example.org
WHAT IS A CURLY CUT?
The Curly Cut is inspired by all the training and continuing education I've invested in. I have combined that with my behind the chair experience to give clients wishing to have their hair cut in its natural state the opportunity to do so. All cutting is done on dry, defined curls.
I ask that you arrive in hair that has been cleansed, detangled and styled in the last 7 days. Hair that is not thoroughly detangled will be charged an additional fee for timing needed.. The hair then goes through the Wash and Go Experience to clarify from plastic/petrolatum/shea/oil buildup and rebuild hydration into the hair. A refining cut and styling lesson happens once you're fully dry.
WHAT IF I DON’T KNOW HOW TO DO A WASH AND GO?
Try your best! If you're unable to do a wash and go I need for you to arrive to in hair that has been cleansed and conditioned in the last 7 days. If you have used oils, butters or Eco Styler Gel/Wetline Gel in the last 6 months I ask that you clarify at least 14 days prior to your appointment. Instructions for clarifying can be found on the Salon Prep Page.
IS MY HAIR READY FOR A CURLY CUT?
If you have waves, curls, kinks, or coils you need a Curly Cut! This cut is intended for hair that is fully natural that you intend to wear curly 90-100% of the time. It is also for those seeking a big chop (freedom) of their relaxed/heat damaged strands.
A Curly Cut IS NOT for you if you are unsure about wearing your hair in its textured state, you regularly get your hair straightened, or you're currently rocking a fly barber cut. In these instances I may be able to recommend a service that’s more suited to your needs.

DOES THE NEW CLIENT APPOINTMENTS INCLUDE PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS?
Absolutely! All New Clients are given a full consultation with personalized product recommendations, weekly regimen and maintenance instructions customized to your lifestyle and desired style.
I JUST WANT A TAPERED CUT/ BIG CHOP. DO I STILL HAVE TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR A CURLY CUT APPOINTMENT?
Yes, I DO NOT charge by length or thickness,. I feel as though no one should be fined for wanting to learn and perfect their hair. Most often, it is the girls who a seeking a big chop or tapered cut that require the most time and detail. However, what's included in the pricing for New Clients, is not just a haircut and style but a thorough consultation, curl diagnosis of texture , curl pattern, porosity, strand size, density and a evaluation of what is best for your unique head of hair. Also, a clear explanation of why what your using is or isn't working. Then that is follow with instructions on how to properly cleanse and hydrate you hair, along with the proper techniques and products to use when setting you hair to hold your newly revealed hydrated curl pattern.
WHAT IS CURL TRAINING?
Curl Training is the process of gaining knowledge and skills to help you better understand and nurture your hair. This process provides insight and technical skills to use at home to help build moisture, maintain definition and retain length.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE CONSISTENCY IN STYLING CURLS?
For everyone its different, the timeframe for some can be 30days and for most it can take 6+ months to rebuild and set a new foundation from years of improper styling, care and maintenance.
DOES YOUR LOCATION HAVE WIFI?
Yes, the salon has complimentary wi-fi available for clients while they're being serviced.
WHAT FORM OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?
Cash and all major credit cards.
WHEN IS YOUR SCHEDULE OPEN?
My schedule is always open 30 days ahead of the day that you are booking.
IS THERE PARKING?
There is a parking lot with limited space or street parking.
